ADRL Opening Day

We are under way here on the opening day of the 2^nd Annual ADRL Gatorz Ohio Drags, and bone-rattling thunder is the order of the first round. Pro Nitrous, Pro Extreme, and Pro Mod are making their first appearances of the weekend, and we’ve already seen a 4.10/179.56 pass! And, to think they don’t even have them tuned up yet! This looks like one wild weekend shaping up here, so come on out and enjoy the ground shaking power of the ADRL Pro classes along with all of the other outrageous machinery that has come to leave an impression on the Summit Motorsports Park asphalt.

2:45 - Time trials continue with some of the wildest machinery we’ve seen here this year. First round times have yielded a 4.03/187 run so far, and it looks like that number will tumble before the afternoon is history. There seems to be a non-stop procession of cars rolling into the staging lanes. This is an outstanding show of raw power!

4:15 - The crews are definitely getting a handle on the track and their tune-ups. We just saw a 3.94/193.27 pass and that’s only one of a few sub-4 second passes here as the day progresses. We have some familiar faces here this afternoon as well as the ADRL Pros. The latest picture is of John DeCerbo, who runs here in the Door Wars series, and he’s giving the touring drivers a run for their money!

5:45 - Qualifying kicks off at 6:00 and we'll be running until 11:00 tonight. If you aren't already on your way here for this impressive show, reconsider, and come on out! There will be 2 full qualifying rounds tonight, so there won't be a boring moment.
